Eskom has published an outlook of the loadshedding schedule starting Monday, 1 January 2024.

Here’s the loadshedding schedule starting Monday, 1 January 2024

On Monday, Eskom kicked off the new year with the return of patterned outages.
In a statement, the struggling utility revealed loadshedding will return at Stage 2 from 05:00 to 16:00 on Tuesday, and Stage 3 starting from 16:00 and well into the evening, and early Wednesday, 3 January 2024.
On Monday, outages remain suspended, barring any unexpected changes necessitated by unplanned breakdowns at Megawatt Park’s ailing generation fleet.
As of Monday, 1 January 2024, breakdowns amounted to:
- 16 231MW – up 3 583MW from Sunday, 17 December 2023
- 8 451MW – down 277MW from Sunday, 17 December 2023
