2021 Mr South Africa: Here are your Top 20 finalists
This year’s male pageantry was launched under the banner, “Man Enough”. Unlike its sister version, physical attributes are less of a defining factor.
According to the men’s competition, “humility, compassion, integrity, professionalism and realness are the key attributes that make a Mr South Africa.”
In search of this year’s best male ambassador, the Top 20 finalists were announced and they include:
How to cast your vote
One of these gents will accept the torch from 2020’s Mr SA, Hannes Van Der Walt, a 39-year-old from Kempton Park, Gauteng.
Fans who want to vote for their favourite contestant will hold the power and influence of the ‘fourth’ judge in the panel.
There are three ways to cast your vote. Here’s how:
- SMS the contestant’s unique voting code to 40439
- Download the Zapper app, link your debit/credit card and scan the unique QR code of your favourite contestant. Thereafter, you will be asked to select the number of votes you would like to cast for that contestant then click “Submit Vote”.
- Visit the Mr SA website after downloading the Zapper app and after linking your card, find your favourite contestant, click “Vote Now”, select the number of votes, then click “Submit”.
Each vote carries a cost of R2 and fans are allowed unlimited ballots for their favourite Mr SA contestant.
2021 Mr South Africa: When will the winner be announced?
At this time, it is unclear when the crowning ceremony will take place. In 2020, Van Der Walt was crowned in a closed ceremony, due to COVID-19.
However, with the country relaxing restrictions, this year’s male pageantry may be a public affair.
The 2021 Mr South Africa Top 10 finalist announcement is expected in October 2021.
