The lifeless body of 40-year-old Josie Harris was discovered in the driveway of her home in Valencia, Los Angeles, on Tuesday evening.

As reported by TMZ, authorities were called to Harris’ home at around 21:30 (06:30 Wednesday morning in South Africa). While the investigation into her death is still ongoing, Valencia investigators confirmed that there was no indication of foul play at the scene.
At this time, the death of Josie Harris is being treated as a death investigation and not homicide. That is, until the coroner’s report comes in, which should reveal a clear picture of what happened to the 40-year-old.
Boxing champion Floyd Mayweather, who was romantically involved with Josie Harris for about 15 years (between 1995 and 2010), has yet to issue a public statement in reaction to the news of his baby momma’s passing.
Her children, Koraun, Zion and Jirah did not make public statements too but honoured their mother by posting an old family portrait showing the other side to Harris and Mayweather’s relationship.
Harris was still recovering from rocky relationship with Mayweather
It is believed that since the boxer spent two months in jail for assaulting Harris in 2010, the couple has never made amends. Mayweather has always maintained his innocence and never spoke ill of Harris in public.
The 40-year-old, on the other hand, struggled to come to terms with the tumultuous end to the relationship in 2010. In a 2014 interview, Harris reflected on her co-parenting relationship with Mayweather, admitting that she was battling with anxiety.
“For some reason, I still get anxiety when I know that he is on his way. I have no idea why, but I get really overwhelmed,” she said.
It is believed that Harris was in the process of completing her book to help women survive the trauma of domestic violence.
