Hagen Mills was a promising actor whose professional life was on the rise. However, the events that transpired in his Kentucky home, on Tuesday, have cast a shadow of confusion as investigators try and piece together the moments that led up to his death.
Hagen Mills is dead: What exactly happened?
According to reports by Deadline, Mayfield police were called to the actor’s home on Tuesday evening by Erica Price, the mother of his four-year-old daughter.
The police respondents were met by Price outside the home, drenched in blood from gunshot wounds to her arm and chest. When asked what had happened, Price told authorities that she was shot at by Mills, who at that time, had already taken his life.
Inside his home, were his daughter and Price’s mother. While authorities have yet to piece together the complete picture of what transpired in that home, it’s believed Mills held Price’s mom and his daughter hostage and when Price arrived at the property, he shot at her before turning the gun on himself.
Fortunately, the young girl and her grandma survived the ordeal with no injuries. Price was rushed to the hospital and is in a stable condition.
There are too many unanswered questions about what exactly happened and the truth of it all is now the priority of the Mayfield Police Department.
Those who followed Mills knew him from FX’s 2016 TV show Baskets. He also made a cameo appearance in Pop TV’s Swedish Dicks in that same year.
Producers of the upcoming horror flick Star Lights have yet to issue a directive on his role in the movie but for now, he is still included in the cast.
Mills was 29 years old.
