But, much to our appeasement, it is 100% true and it is happening in a week.

The Verzuz battle will go down on Wednesday 22 July, at 22:00 EST. In South Africa, the 20-round hit-for-hit battle will take place on Thursday morning, at 04:00.
How to watch Verzuz in South Africa
Before, the battles took place at the artists’ respective Instagram Live pages. However, there were many drawbacks experienced in this format. Two-way interactions on Instagram Live ruined the experience for hundreds of thousands of fans who tuned in.
If it was not poor internet connection problems, it was the sound quality. Thus, the Verzuz battle will be hosted from a single venue with both artists seated across from each other while the entire occasion is broadcast on Verzuz’ Instagram Live page.
