Utopia season is soon-coming and to kickstart the countdown to what promises to be a new era for ‘ragers’, Travis Scott dropped two singles, Escape Plan and MAFIA.
Travis Scott ups the ante with new music
Coming out of a hiatus, possibly enforced by the global COVID-19 pandemic, La Flame gave his cult following a taste of what’s to come with the release of a two-pack.
On Escape Plan, Scott flexes the status of his bank account and anticipates “a twelve-figure estate plan”. Perhaps, what won’t ring well in the Jenner household are the lyrics where he candidly brags about ‘banging’ on a ‘Jamaican-Spanglish’ woman he drops off at Turks [and Caicos islands] after a voyage across the seven seas.

Staying true to his near-chopped and screwed percussion, the Cactus Jack rapper goes into a mellow note on MAFIA. The tone on this song is certainly less aggressive as Escape Plan.
Yet, Scott skirts the edge of the ledge on this record too. He makes references about a wild rockstar sexcapade with a woman.

Scott dropped the two-pack on every digital streaming platform. What’s interesting, these singles are not attached to any album preorders. So, at this time, ir remains unknown when his highly anticipated Astroworld follow-up will come.
