While the world is still sobering up from the shocking news of the royal exit, Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has already inked her first lucrative deal with Disney.
Meghan Markle voiceover deal with Disney: What we know
As reported by Dailymail, the deal between Disney and Meghan Markle was inked and sealed prior to her exit from the Royal Palace, on Wednesday.
In fact, it is believed that the Duchess of Sussex had already completed her voiceover work for Disney before she and hubby, Prince Harry, left for their Christmas holiday, in Canada.
The total fee for the royal services of Meghan Markle is a subject of speculation, at this time.
However, what has been confirmed is that proceeds made from the voiceover work will be channelled towards Elephants Without Borders, a non-profit organisation that works in the sphere of anti-poaching and wildlife conservation.
Rumour — Oprah influenced the royal couple’s dramatic exit
Since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their intentions to withdraw from their duties as senior royals, speculation has been rife about the reason behind the unconventional move.
The rumour mill has ramped up claims that queen of media, Oprah Winfrey, may have influenced the royal couple’s shocking decision.
However, in an interview with People Magazine, Winfrey confirmed that none of this is true.
“Meghan and Harry do not need my help figuring out what’s best for them. I care about them both and support whatever decisions they make for their family,” she said.
The couple has not made any indications on what their plans for the near future are.
However, what is very clear is the fact that their status alone, is worth a ton of money.
It has been rumoured that Apple has shared an interest in inking a brand ambassadorship deal with Markle.
Should they greenlight the service, paid appearances are also a lucrative stream of income that is well at their disposal.
The future holds the answers and all we can do is sit and wait for the Duchess of Sussex to make her boss move.
