Elizabeth Woolridge Grant, better known as Lana Del Rey, announces she will be releasing her new single ‘Arcadia’ for streaming on Wednesday at 20:00 in South Africa.
On Friday 3 September 2021, the songstress posted the cover of her new song on her Instagram, where she also teased a snippet of the music video two days later.
What we can expect from ‘Arcadia’
In the past, Lana’s music has been a mixture of indie and rock music. This new song follows along with her latest album ‘Blue Banisters’ and speaking to her fans, she described the project as “what it was like”, “what happened” and “what it’s like now”.
Lana released a small clip showcasing some of the song’s lyrics.
What Lana had to say through the ‘Arcadia’ post
According to Lana the criticism has been trying, however it has pushed her into exploring her family tree and to dig deep within herself.
“To continue to exhibit the fact that God only cares about how I move through the world,” she said.
In the second last paragraph of the Instagram’s caption, Lana speaks directly to all the skeptics.
“And for all of the skepticism about feigning fragility and unreasonable explanations of not showing general accountability- I must say I’ve enjoyed moving through the world beautifully- as a woman with grace and dignity.”
Fans reactions to the release
Many fans have been anticipating the release of Lana’s new song and are overwhelmed to finally be able to listen to it.
