Kim Kardashian has made it official. From insiders who’ve spoken in confidence with renowned exclusive-buster TMZ, we’re told that the divorce has been filed at a Los Angeles court and that both parties are amicably drawing the line in the sand to put an end to ‘KimYe’.
KimYe is over — How did it come to this?
Kim Kardashian and her soon-to-be ex husband Kanye West have been together for more than eight years. Seven of those were spent as a happily married couple with four children, North, Chicago, Psalm and Saint.
However, the billionaire fashion designer’s recent explorations in different philosophies about life, marriage and religion took a strain on the relationship.
A source tells the cited publication that Kardashian made the final call to walk away from the marriage when Ye announced his presidential candidacy in the 2020 US elections.
You will remember the “Kris Jong-Un” outbursts from his controversial rallies. This and many other wild claims Kanye made when he was supposedly in ‘a bipolar episode’ scarred the daughter of PR extraordinaire Kris Jenner.
It is said that this hurdle was unlike any other they’ve faced in eight years. It was insurmountable. The best decision, it seems, was to amicably call it quits and find a new way to co-parent as divorcees.
What does Kim Kardashian walk away with?
Much of the gossip that’s surrounded this much-talked-about divorce has been around their contractual arrangement. Turns out, there is a prenuptial clause in KimYe’s marriage contract.
Both parties, it’s believed, will walk away with their personal assets and find collaborative ways to manage things they jointly own, like their marvel Calabasas home, designed by Axel Vervoodt and Vincent van Duysen.
From what we understand, this home Kardashian will use the most, since she is with the children. Kanye, who for the longest time, has been hidden in the stretched landscapes of his Wyoming estate, will probably show up every now and then to play his fatherly role.
The divorce proceedings are not final, we understand, but it is a certainty. It is unclear, at this time, if the divorce will feature in the season finale of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
However, if there is one thing about Mama Jenner we all know, is that she never misses on a golden ‘reality TV moment’. So, don’t rule anything out.
