What we know about the memorial service

41-year-old Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna lost their lives in a tragic helicopter crash that claimed a total of nine lives on 26 January.

It is believed that Kobe Bryant, Gianna, and six other victims were on their way to the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks when the helicopter crash near Calabasas.

The world has mourned the tragic passing of a legend that was settling into life in retirement with budding business ventures and his daughter, who held a lot of promise for the Women’s NBA (WNBA) league.

The father and daughter were laid to rest in a private ceremony and a few days after their close family and friends paid their last respects, the world will get to send Kobe Bryant and Gianna off with a memorial service that will be held at the home ground of the mighty Mamba.

No details have been shared about the guests who will grace the stage in honour of the basketball legend. However, we know for certain that the occasion will bring a lot of tears and closure.
