Young Thug vs French Montana: Where did it all go south?
French Montan must feel like there is an omen following him around because the man can’t catch a break from being at odds with rappers.
Only a few days after squashing a long-drawn-out beef with Jim Jones, French found himself going back and forth with Thugga.
It all started when French, speaking to Complex, stated that he can confidently put his music catalogue up against any rapper, even rap god Kendrick Lamar, and come out victorious.
The No Stylist rapper gave Lamar his credit for being a godly MC but added that he has the club bangers that would rock festival stages harder than the Black Hippy aficionado.
Thugga certainly did not agree and he took his opinions to social media, calling out French for being a ‘fool’ for even thinking he could step up to Lamar.
That’s where it all went south. The two rappers have been going back and forth on social media, digging out laundry and publicly shaming each other for our entertainment — not that we asked for it.
Charlamagne chimes in: “French is not moving like an OG”
The beef has garnered so much attention, it featured on the recent Breakfast Club radio show. Pop Culture pundit Charlamagne Tha God weighed in on the controversy and called French out for being too old to be chirping back and forth with his younger colleagues.
