The exuberant video follows a whirlwind romance between Sheeran and actress AnnaSophia Robb as they meet by chance in a diner, have a dance number, and get into a street fight.
Sheeran also channels musical legend Elton John in a white feather headdress, rhinestone-encrusted hot pink shades, fringe silver jacket, a blinged-out shirt, sparkly gold leggings completed with gold toed slip-ons.
“I wrote this as soon as the Divide tour ended in a rented farm in Suffolk where we had set up a studio for a couple of weeks to see what happened,” Sheeran said about the track.
“It was written over the course of 3 days, which is very different for me, but I felt it was too special to get wrong. It was originally meant to be the first single, but I didn’t see a world where Bad Habits existed if it didn’t come out in the summer. Shivers always felt more autumnal. I hope you like it, I bloody love it.”

The UK singer/songwriter’s highly anticipated new album is his first solo body of work since his previous album ‘÷’ in June 2017. Sheeran revealed to fans that this album has been in the works since 2017, and described the feel of the record as ‘coming of age.’
“It’s been a long, long process. I’ve been through love, loss, new life, grief and everything in between during the whole period of writing it, and I feel like it’s really a coming of age record. I’ve never been more proud of a body of work, or more excited/nervous for you all to hear it.”
In June, Sheeran released the album’s lead single, Bad Habits, which catapulted him to the top of the charts across the world. The track reached a new peak of #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, while the companion video received 4 nominations at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
