To millions of disappointed stans, Drake is not a Certified Lover Boy (CLB) right now.
Drake delays release of Certified Lover Boy
The Canadian mega rap star took to social media on Wednesday evening to breakdown the news that his sixth studio album CLB will sit in his hard drive for a bit longer than he had anticipated.
“I was planning to release my album this month, but between surgery and rehab, my energy has been dedicated to recovery. I’m blessed to be back on my feet, feeling great and focused on the album, but CLB won’t be dropping in January,” the rapper wrote in his Instagram Stories.
If we are to believe a word of this, then Drizzy must have been chasing full recovery within two months of suffering a knee injury so severe it needed surgery.
When is CLB new release date?
It’s not too farfetched to suggest that Drake’s CLB is, perhaps, the most anticipated body of work this year. However, with a second delay, worries are growing that we might not get treated with the music anytime soon.
Drake sure didn’t help lighten the anxiety when he teased that his sixth studio album will drop this year, just not anytime soon.
“I’m looking forward to sharing it with you all in 2021,” he said.
Suffice it to say, this did nothing to calm the frustrations of many fans who took to Twitter to react to the news.
