Social media exploded with videos from the concert, showing the R&B star commanding the stage with his electrifying energy, and performing hits like Run It, Under the Influence, and With You.
The atmosphere inside the stadium was electric as fans, many dressed in Chris Brown merchandise, sang along to every word.
The show opened with a high-energy performance by local supporting acts, setting the tone for the night.
Brown hit the stage at 20:00, keeping the crowd entertained with his signature dance moves and impeccable stage presence for over 90 minutes.
While the concert was a triumph for Brown and his fans, it wasn’t without controversy.
Ahead of the performance, advocacy group Women for Change issued a statement denouncing the singer’s South African shows due to his history of violence against women.
“As a country plagued by some of the highest rates of GBVF and femicide, we will continue to take a stand against the normalisation of abuse,” the statement read.
The group also called out concertgoers, adding, “While you’re singing along, never forget what he’s capable of.”
This criticism followed weeks of backlash, including a petition signed by over 30,000 people calling for the cancellation of Brown’s South African shows.
Despite these efforts, ticket demand remained strong, with the first show selling out quickly and prompting organisers to add a second performance on Sunday.
