Carole Baskin partners up with Nelly
Much of the spotlight has been cast on Carole Baskin, one of the celebrity pickings for this season. The shocking reveal of the endangered animal activist reverberated on social media.
Even more surprising, is the fact that Baskin has been paired up with St. Louis rapper Nelly. Asked about her feelings heading into the show, this is what Baskin had to say:
“Well, Tiger King really glamourised animal abusers and villainized me for trying to stop the animal abuse. So, I felt really betrayed by that. But, what amazed me was how many people believed that false portrayal of me without doing anything to find out who I really am.”
Is Carole Baskin still a suspect in her hubby’s disappearance?
The controversial addition of Baskin as a cast member of Dancing With The Stars has left many gobsmacked. The animal rights activist is a person of interest in the mysterious disappearance of her first husband Don Lewis.
Things, however, have been quiet since June when Florida county sheriff Chad Chronister revealed that Lewis’ will that granted Baskin access to his liquid assets, was a forgery.
“We knew that before, because the girl who came forward and said, ‘hey, I was forced to witness and say that I witnessed this signature.’ The problem was the statute of limitations had already expired. The will had already been executed at that point,” Chronister said.
No further developments have been made in Lewis’ disappearance and Baskin, who will be dancing away with Nelly, remains free.
