Once a rocky and toxic relationship, Cardi B and Offset seemed to be on the mend. The Atlanta rapper was reformed as a responsible father of four, present in the development of the Cephus dynasty.
However, it seems behind the gracious smiles and cute Instagram snaps, tensions were brewing.
At this time, no official statement from neither of the musicians has been released. Thus, we are left to speculate on what could have been the last straw for Cardi B.
The fine details of their divorce are subject to a court hearing that is scheduled for Wednesday 4 November 2020 in Fulton County, Georgia.
Media personality and attorney Adrienne Lawrence first broke the news on Twitter with an image of the court papers showing that the divorce was filed on Tuesday and that the matter is being contested.

The fact that the divorce is being contested suggests that, at the very least, things are not amicable between the couple. Furthermore, according to TMZ, court documents indicate that Cardi B is seeking primary physical custody as well as legal custody of two-year-old Kulture.
It’s further alleged that in the papers, Cardi B has made it categorically clear that she and Offset are over for good and that she expects him to pay child support, the total of which has not been specified..
