Hosted by the talented Taraji P. Henson, the event opened with an electrifying performance by Megan Thee Stallion, who performed her hits BOA and Where Them Girls At.
Usher, an R&B legend, received the Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by industry icons Baby Face and L.A. Reid.
The tribute included performances by Childish Gambino, KeKe Palmer, CoCo Jones, Normani, and Latto, celebrating Usher’s impressive career.
Additionally, Usher won the Best Male R&B/Pop Artist award, solidifying his influence in the music industry.
Will Smith made a triumphant return to music, debuting his new single You Can Make It with a guest appearance by Kirk Franklin and the Sunday Service Choir, delivering a powerful and uplifting performance.
The evening also featured an emotional tribute to Victoria Monet, who won her first-ever BET Award and captivated the audience with her performances.
Killer Mike’s sixth studio album, Michael, won Album of the Year, presented by Childish Gambino.
The night was filled with more than a dozen awards recognising the best talents in music, film, sports, and more.
