Ari Lennox wants out of Dreamville AGAIN
The Pressure singer pulled no punches, slamming her team for what she says is neglect and manipulation.
“They’ve been playing with me all month,” Lennox vented, saying that neither label has been able to “market or protect” her properly.
“I’m so tired of people treating me like they’re sorry for me… I’ve never been happier,” she added, making it clear her issues have nothing to do with her personal well-being but everything to do with her career frustrations.
This isn’t the first time Lennox has aired her grievances with Dreamville.
Just a couple of years ago, after a controversial interview with South African podcaster MacG that spiralled out of control, Lennox voiced her desire to be released from J. Cole’s label, feeling unsupported by her team.
But her frustrations date back even further.
After a traumatic arrest in Amsterdam in 2021, Lennox claimed she was racially profiled, but Dutch officials alleged it was her behaviour, not race, that led to her being detained.
Dreamville was radio-silent through it all, and Lennox was left to face the backlash alone.
Fans are no strangers to Ari Lennox’s fiery side.
From her Twitter rants about wanting off Dreamville’s roster to her recent announcement that she’d be quitting touring for good, citing mental health and her fear of flying, she’s never been shy about her struggles.
And while some fans rally behind her, others wonder if the drama will ever simmer down.
Whether it’s her public fallouts, her vocal disdain for the industry, or her ongoing battles with her label, Lennox’s career seems to be one of constant highs and lows.
