Adele must have woken up a day after her birthday to millions of texts from people in utter shock at how she has transformed into a beach babe, seemingly overnight.

The 32-year-old British singing sensation has been out of the limelight for quite a bit. In fact, the last time we were blessed with music from the star was five years ago.
How she is still a relevant topic of discussion in 2020 is a testament to her greatness. But, for once, people were not badgering Adele about her music, or lack thereof in recent times.
The entire pop culture community was stunned by a picture she posted on her Instagram page on Wednesday morning, thanking everyone for celebrating her 32nd birthday with her, which was a day ago.
In true Adele fashion, her message of thanks was void of any self-indulgence. Instead, the singer dedicated this special day to the healthcare workers who are on the frontlines of a war with an unseen enemy.
“I’d like to thank all of our first responders and essential workers who are keeping us safe while risking their lives! You are truly our angels,” she wrote.
As cute of a message this was, the real gobsmacker was the image that accompanied the sweet caption. Adele has lost a whole lot of weight and she almost looks unrecognisable.
The likes of Chrissy Teigen were just as shocked.
“I mean are you kidding me?” John Legend’s wifey asked.

The rest of the comments were, of course, related to her absence from the music scene. Adele has kept to herself for most of the past five years. She has had to deal with the brutal reality of divorce and shielding her eight-year-old son from its ramifications.
The last thing on her mind would most certainly be to serve us with new music. However, a clip recently did the rounds in February, showing Adele (apparently inebriated) at her friend’s wedding screaming “my album is coming in September 2020) into the mic.
If we are to take any of this seriously, then this year may not end so bad.
