The importance of taking your vitamins is absolutely understated. The immune system is often challenged by external forces, bacteria and viruses with a singular objective — to corrupt your body and crash your motherboard.

A vitamin, in scientific terms, is an organic micronutrient that assists an organism with the proper functioning of its metabolism. In simpler terms, vitamins are nutrients your body needs to develop and function properly.

Three vitamins that will boost your immune system

Also known as ascorbic acid or ascorbate, vitamin C is a micronutrient source found in various foods and sold as a dietary supplement.

This vitamin type specialises in repairing tissue and the production of certain neurotransmitters.

Vitamin B6
