Following the couple’s dramatic exit from Buckingham Palace, it is understood that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are no longer allowed to use ‘royal’ in their branding.
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle settle in Canada
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are happy with their new life in Vancouver, Canada, according to Fox News. The decision to leave Frogmore Cottage, and subsequently abandon their royal duties, has allowed the couple to reap the benefits of an unrestricted life in Canada.
“Harry and Meghan have escaped the chaos back home and are genuinely happy. They’re really enjoying Canada,” an insider told US Weekly.
The insider also revealed that Meghan is enjoying a stress-free life, away from the pressures of the media hounds who made her like a nightmare in the United Kingdom (UK).
“The locals don’t bother them, and they have the freedom to do whatever they want,” the insider added.
Why are they not allowed to use the ‘royal’ branding?
However, as peaceful as life may be for the couple, things at home are reportedly not too great.
On Wednesday, it was announced that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would no longer hold an office at Buckingham Palace, beginning 1 April 2020.
While the couple still has at least six royal engagements to commit to, they will no longer be able to associate with the ‘royal Sussex’ brand after 31 March 2020.
This, it seems, is everything Harry and Markle wanted and more. Disbanding from the ‘royal’ brand will allow them to pursue their charity work.
Already, it’s reported that the couple was spotted at an exclusive JP Morgan event in South Beach, Miami, where Harry delivered a speech.
It’s believed that in their absence at Buckingham Palace, they will be represented by their UK charity foundation. The couple has yet to formally address the royal split.
