DJ Zinhle has been in the news quite a lot lately and unfortunately for the DJ, it is not for anything she would like to associate her brand with.
DJ Zinhle reeled into breakup talk by AKA
For the most part of her breakup with rapper AKA, DJ Zinhle has kept to herself concerning the topic.
She has not addressed the rumours surrounding her second failed attempt at reconnecting with Kairo’s father since the mill ran amock about their split in December 2019.
The only tea you will ever find on DJ Zinhle’s social media platforms has to do with her business deals and her activities as Africa’s number 1 female DJ.
However, the same can’t be said about AKA. Known for his outlandish rants on social media, the rapper has been very vocal about his split with DJ Zinhle.
Remember, Supamega sparked controversy when he left DJ Zinhle for Bonang Matheba in 2017/18, soon after the birth of his daughter. Then, the fiery relationship with Matheba ended in a public spat where AKA hinted that she may have used dark magic to keep him enchanted.
Bizarrely, this formed part of AKA’s album rollout for Touch My Blood. The success of the album release also saw the rapper rekindling his relationship with DJ Zinhle.
This renewed romance would not last long, though. In less than a year into their second shot at love, AKA and DJ Zinhle have gone their separate ways.
Zinhle’s hive comes out in her defence
The murmurs of the breakup grew louder when, in a span of a month, AKA was spotted with his new bae, a college girl from Cape Town.
The rapper did not shy away from posting Instagram Stories with his renewed love fling, something that held a public interest in his love affair.
Then, right when social media was gearing up to move onto other trending topics, AKA brought the conversation back with the first public address about his relationship with DJ Zinhle, on Tuesday evening.
The rapper went on a rant, calling critics out for meddling in his private life.
DJ Zinhle’s hive did not take well to this. Scores of the DJ’s supporters gave AKA a piece of their mind.
The DJ, as collected as she always is, did not give this any of her attention. Instead, she shared a tweet about her adorable friendship with Pearl Thusi.
