Cassper Nyovest is on the verge of reaching yet another feat in his career with the upcoming Fill Up Royal Bafokeng concert.
Cassper Nyovest closes deal with Samsung
We are only a few weeks away from seeing Cassper Nyovest at the height of his greatness.
Fill Up Royal Bafokeng is the third edition to the Motswako rapper’s Fill Up series, which by far, is the most successful live Hip-Hop concert event in South Africa.
Fans, however, have always wondered why corporate South Africa has never jumped at the opportunity to sponsor such an event.
According to Cassper Nyovest, he has always struggled with the same question.
“I struggle with Sponsors every year with Fill up. One would think they would be fighting to be part of the property now but nah, its hard for a black entrepreneur in SA bro. It’s so hard!!!! But we soldier on!!! 15 December, we #FillUpRoyalBafokeng,” the rapper said in a tweet.
However, Cassper Nyovest is always a step ahead from anyone else, and right when everyone was trying to decipher the rapper’s cryptic tweets, he announced a new partnership with Samsung.
On Friday, Cass revealed that Samsung, the world’s biggest smartphone and electronics manufacturer, will partner up with Family Tree to deliver Fill Up Royal Bafokeng.
The category of the sponsorship has not been made public and it is not clear, at this stage, how much visibility the brand has secured at the concert.
When is Fill Up Royal Bafokeng?
This year, Cassper Nyovest is taking his concert to the Royal Bafokeng Nation, an ethnic homeland of the Setswana-speaking traditional community, in the North West.
The concert will take place at the 44 000-capacity Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace, on Sunday, 15 December.
Tickets are on sale for as little as R100, with golden circle going for R400.
