Zulu Mixtape: Tune into Nasty C’s listening session right here [video]

Nasty C does not need pudding to prove that he is currently the hardest working artist in South Africa.

This is not a surprise, though. If anything, it is an expectation. Will all that he has achieved in the last 12 months, the trajectory of his music career suggests that he can only do better from here on.

Is Nasty C Africa’s biggest export?

By all accounts, it looks more apparent that his team has shifted his focus to lands across our shores. He already owns a good portion of the pie in South Africa.

His partnership with Def Jam Africa can only mean that the 23-year-old is looking to penetrate the United States (US) and other international markets.

Well, thus far, he has done a pretty darn good job at positioning himself as Africa’s next greatest export. After releasing an internationally acclaimed collaborative effort on They Don’t with Atlanta mogul-rapper T.I, Nasty C is on the brink of releasing the Zulu Mixtape which is hosted by DJ Whookid.

Is Zulu a mixtape or an album?

If you were a Hip-Hop head in the early 2000s’ you will appreciate the historic relevance of this mixtape. DJ Whookid’s famous tag has, for many years, reverberated through speaker boxes of G-Unit loyal followers.

Nasty C becomes the first South African rapper to link up with a Hip-Hop DJ of this magnitude for a mixtape release.

Although, the term ‘mixtape’ and what it implies is blurred nowadays. It will all depend on where the project will be made available.

If it is sold commercially, then it can’t count as a mixtape. However, who really cares, right? The music is what matters the most and Nasty C is ready to give us the official prelude to Zulu Man With Some Power.
