Join our very own Miss universe 2020, Natasha Joubert on Saturday 10 April, for the Destiny Designed show, a free virtual fashion fundraiser that will showcase works of local fashion design entrepreneurs.
Natasha Joubert paves way for SA’s future fashion staples
Passionate about designing and entrepreneurship herself, Joubert steered this project to allow 13 incredible designers to share their story and showcase their talent on a global scale through the virtual show.
You wouldn’t want to miss out on this as the 13 designers are set to make two garments and have them modelled by our favourite faces, Miss South Africa Shudufhadzo Musida, South Africa 2020 Thato Mosehle and the Miss SA 2020 finalists.
If you’re a fashion enthusiast looking for your next statement garment but would also like to help an entrepreneur, designers will auction off their garments after the show and proceeds will go back to them.
Why is this virtual fashion show of importance?
Many small businesses, freelancers and entrepreneurs have been affected by COVID 19, and many dreams being stripped away in a second. This project stands as a reminder that these designers have great talents to still show to the world, despite challenges brought on by the pandemic. It’s also a chance for the designers to reinvest proceeds from the auction back into their businesses.
