Motherwell authorities have escalated the search for six-year-old Alakhe Gwambi and issued a public notice on details of the missing boy as his disappearance enters its fourth day on Wednesday 24 June.

According to police spokesperson Captain Andre Beetge, the last time anyone saw Alakhe Gwambi alive was on Saturday 20 June, at approximately 16:00.
At the time, it is believed his parents were in the process of moving to a new home in the same area.
Testimonies from people who saw him on this day state that Alakhe Gwambi last seen playing with his friends at Addo squatter camp, opposite NU 12 in Motherwell, Eastern Cape.
What was he wearing when he went missing?
“He was wearing a red and blue spiderman cap, blue and red tracksuit top, navy jeans and white takkies,” Captain Beetge revealed.
It is not clear when or how his parents were alerted of his disappearance.
However, Captain Beetge confirmed that a missing person case was filed on Sunday 21 June.

At this time, the six-year-old’s disappearance is being treated as a missing person investigation with no indications of foul play.
However, those involved in the kid’s search are growing worrisome as it has now been four days without any trace of the young boy.
