On Tuesday morning, a 42-year-old man was found dead in his room in an outbuilding in Trenance Park, Verulam.
According to reports, three suspects approached the house in a white Toyota Corolla, firing shots from the yard before entering the victim’s room and fatally shooting him in the head.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) responded to an urgent call from the victim’s relative and arrived on the scene around 06:31.
RUSA officers and paramedics discovered the victim with a gunshot wound to the head.
Four spent 9mm cartridges were recovered from the scene, indicating the use of a firearm.
