Four school pupils abducted in Polokwane: What’s the latest?
From what we understand, the unnamed children, believed to be aged between six and 15, were being transported to a private school on Wednesday morning in the Limpopo town when, on the R71, they were accosted by an unconfirmed number of armed men.
According to reports, the abduction allegedly took place on Church Street. It’s believed the perpetrators smashed the driver’s window and forced the vehicle’s occupants out of the car.

What do we know about the suspects?
At this time, Polokwane police are in search of at least four suspects driving a silver/grey Toyota Fortuner. While investigations are still ongoing, it’s believed the abduction is directly linked to the social status of the school pupils’ father, who is a renowned local businessman.
Police have yet to provide updates on the leads they are chasing but we understand that at the time this article was published, the getaway vehicle’s registration plates were unknown.
Moreover, it’s believed the vehicle was travelling on the N1 North. Motorists in the region who spot a suspicious-looking Toyota Fortuner with at least four distressed school pupils are urged to contact authorities immediately.
This is a developing story.
