Mfuleni mass shooting: Police working to establish motive
The victims, aged between 19 and 30, were discovered in a shack on the corner of Polisa and Deputy Streets, all with gunshot wounds.
According to police spokesperson Brigadier Novela Potelwa, officers were alerted to the scene at approximately 13:30.
Upon arrival, they found the lifeless bodies of the five men inside the shack.
Details surrounding the incident are limited, and no arrests have been made at this stage.
Authorities have launched a murder investigation, with the provincial serious violent crimes unit taking charge of the case.
“The motive for the shooting is the subject of a police investigation,” said Potelwa.
