According to reports from renowned crime microblogger @crimeairnetwork, all hell broke loose at Fly Inn, an affluent residential area situated approximately 10 minutes away from OR Tambo International Airport.

Details surrounding the incident are still sketchy but it’s reported that three armed perpetrators entered the premises with intentions to rob the estate, where a husband, his wife and their two children were asleep.

The daughter also sustained gunshot wounds to both of her legs. However, she was able to alert security soon after the perpetrators fled and emergency services were rushed to the Fly Inn estate.

Latest updates from the cited microblogger suggest that the wife was airlifted to a nearby hospital but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries.

A fourth member of the family, an unidentified male believed to be the daughter’s sibling, was the only person in the property who suffered no injuries in the alleged robbery.

Apparently, the son was asleep in his room at the time of the incident and by sheer luck, he did not encounter the robbers.
