The last person she was seen alive with, Andrews, was nowhere to be seen and speculation has since grown that he may have been involved in her ruthless killing.
Eersterust community points finger at Andrews as suspect
Gauteng police spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubele confirmed that at the moment, Andrews is the prime suspect and tracking him down is the key directive in De Kock’s homicide investigation.
“Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly killed a 42-year-old woman and left her in an outside room in Eersterust on Sunday morning, 14 June 2020, at about 06:00.
“Detectives appeal to Mr Clayton Andrews to urgently contact the local police station and assist in the investigation since he is the last person to be in contact with the deceased,” Makhubele noted in a statement.
The motive behind the murder may be unknown, but it bears striking similarities to femicide cases that have been reported in the past week.

At the time of publishing this article, Andrews had not been tracked down. In doing our own digging, we sourced information on social media alleging that the suspect could be hiding in Geluksdal, a community in Brakpan located about 91km from Eersterust.
An autopsy report has yet to be released and thus, we are not privy to the cause of De Kock’s death.
This is a developing story.
