Thanks to the CCTV cameras installed in this Randburg home, an intruder’s failed attempt to trespass into the property, and possibly pull off a house break-in, was captured on film.
Watch: Randburg intruder caught attempting a break-in
The owner of the property situated in Ferndale took to Twitter to shed more light into the events that took place at his home at approximately 01:37 on Tuesday morning.
In the video you will see below, an unknown figure was seen inside the homeowner’s property. The unidentified trespasser paced along the side of the house, careful not to trigger the home’s security lights and the video ended before we witnessed his next movements.

More context from the homeowner – Did the intruder break-in?
Thankfully, the gentleman whose home this is — identified only by his first name, Pierre — tracked down the viral tweet from Yusuf Abramjee and added context to the video, confirming that the intruder wasn’t successful in whatever he was doing at his property, uninvited, in the wee hours of the morning.
For reference, he did not break in or steal anything. The back garden alarm beam broke recently. He avoids the next one, walks around the front of the yard and sets off the alarm as in this video. My alarm system. I installed linked with floodlights in 2004,” Pierre explained.
Here’s another video of the intruder captured in the front yard of the Randburg property.
