A fit of blind rage has cost a woman from Tzaneen, Limpopo, dearly.
Limpopo police have placed a 42-year-old woman under arrest and charged her with murder after she was accused of stabbing her husband.
Tzaneen wife kills husband in a fit of rage
According to Tzaneen police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo, the incident took place at the couple’s home in Kuranta village, on the evening of Sunday 7 June 2020.
It’s believed the woman — a mother of two — caught her husband in bed with another woman at approximately 21:15.
“An argument ensued between the two women and the deceased apparently tried to intervene when the suspect allegedly stabbed him with a sharp object,” Mojapelo noted in a statement.
The husband was rushed to a nearby clinic but, unfortunately, it was a little too late to save him. The 43-year-old was confirmed dead-on-arrival and a case of assault was quickly escalated to murder.
What’s the latest on her case?
The woman, whose identity has not been made public, has since been placed under arrest. She was expected to appear before the Bolobedu Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
No further updates have come from the outcome of that hearing.
We are to assume the Tzaneen woman has either been allowed temporary release on bail or remanded in prison pending the outcome of her case.
