Dramatic scenes were witnessed outside Kolonnade Centre in Pretoria’s CBD, after reports were received of a bomb threat.

At this time, details surrounding the incident are still very much sketchy. However, according to multiple reports, a mass evacuation was initiated after the Kolonnade Centre’s management was informed of a bomb allegedly planted inside the shopping mall on Tuesday morning.

We made numerous attempts to reach the centre but our calls went unanswered, possibly since mall staff have been forced out of the building.
At the time this article was published, SAPS bomb squad and other members were combing the scene in search of explosives.
