Rising Cape Town star SimulationRxps finally blessed listeners with the releases of not one, but two impressive singles boosting the Xhosa rap sensation further into the limelight.
How did the singles perform?
It felt like Rxps had been hyping up these two bangers for ages, and fans were finally able to jam to the rapper’s two new tunes titled PHEZKWEZINTO and 7455.
After hearing the two tracks, most fans couldn’t even decide which one of the two slapped harder, proving to many that SimulationRxps is one for the future.
Both tracks are considered heavy trap, with both songs infusing heavy 808’s, loud bass, and a catchy beat that pairs well with Rxps’s fire bars as he speaks on his life and time in the townships and how he’s working hard on making a name for himself.
With the aid of rising star Amilca Mezarati, many seemed to be impressed with the rapper’s verse on 7455, with many claiming that he stole the show.
SimulationRxps: The future of Xhosa Rap?
Representing Langa, the sunny township, SimulationRxps has been tilted to be the future of Xhosa rap after his breakthrough on the track Ndintswempu where he appeared as a feature on the Dee Koala track.
However, even before that, the rapper from Langa had been on the grind releasing his first tune alongside ChingaTime on the track Safe, which was released three years ago on Soundcloud.
In fact, many of his earlier work is still all on his Soundcloud like the tracks WALK ON WATER, ALL TALK, and the Safe remix having TheTrustedSLK, Aztec Coca, Lookatups, and BlaQ-Slim all hopping on the beat.
The rapper hasn’t released many projects with his TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN EP which released in 2019, being his only body of work to date.
However, 2021 might be his year to shine after the release of his hit single Ezay Zolo, having an impressive music video go alongside the track even featuring popular internet comedian Joupa in the visuals.
With the release of PHEZKWEZINTO and 7455, this young rapper from Langa can take his music to the next level in the near future and we can’t wait.
