Dee Koala finally released her heavily anticipated single titled Spazz, working alongside the popping Blxckie and Cape Town prospect K.KEED.
Spazz: How Dee Koala brought the heat
The track starts with the talented K.Keed immediately going off on the chorus calling out all the fake people she knows.
This is evident in her lyric “I’m not being cold my n*gga you fake as your ice, I’m smoking on n*ggas I don’t even f*ck with a gwaai”.
She continues to mock her foes before Dee smoothly hops on the beat bringing her distinctive style of Xhosa rap also using the track to ridicule her opps.
Of course, the cherry on top of the cake, Blxckie, jumps on the beat to seal the deal going on to flex his riches and achievements on all his haters.
This is an enjoyable song with the beat bringing about a fun and exciting atmosphere using catchy piano keynotes as the sample, with the heavy 808s and bass going off.
Dee had a great verse with Blxckie never failing to disappoint, however, it was K.Keed who stole the show bringing the energy to the song, especially with the entertaining hook.
Dee prepares to take her name to the next level
Spazz is officially the Cape Town rappers first single under her newly formed record label titled Dee Koala (Pty) Ltd.
Best of all, the track was distributed by Empire, the established US record label.
This is a massive deal for Koala as it’s not very common for local artists to be associated with labels of such prominence, besides artists like Nasty C or Ricky Tyler under Def Jam.
With this new deal of hers, big things are expected from the exciting rapper.
Koala continues to make Cape Town proud continuing to elevate the Xhosa rap genre in the South African hip-hop world.
