The consistent stability is a result of the national Generation Recovery Plan, which has improved coal-fired power station performance and reduced reliance on diesel-powered peaking plants.
Eskom’s year-to-date Energy Availability Factor (EAF) is 62.7%, reflecting steady operational improvements.
With unplanned outages at manageable levels and diesel usage below budget, Eskom remains on track to meet today’s electricity demand.
