This uninterrupted power delivery is a result of Eskom’s ongoing Generation Recovery Plan, which has improved coal-fired fleet reliability and reduced unplanned outages.
Eskom’s year-to-date Energy Availability Factor (EAF) remains at 62.7%, while diesel usage continues to track below budget, contributing to significant cost savings.
With sufficient generation capacity to meet today’s forecasted demand, no power interruptions are expected for Cape Town residents.
